Introducing the new ProJekt Boatworks M-53

A true alloy yacht with lightweight carbon fibre components that enhance performance without sacrificing integrity.

The team at ProJekt Boatworks is very excited to announce their latest new design, the ProJekt M-53. This exciting new Bakewell-White monohull design boasts a fiercely robust aluminum hull, deck, and cabin. Resin-infused carbon fibre is used to produce the strong but lightweight hardtop, mezzanine cabinet, and leaning post. The specialized composite components reduce the overall weight without compromising the strength and integrity of a well-engineered aluminum yacht. The hull, deck, and superstructure receive Awlgrip’s epoxy fairing/primer system and Awlcraft SE/HDT (base clear) top coatings, which guarantees a perfect finish on all surfaces. Engineered sound solutions are applied throughout; these products and techniques ensure that the sound level and thermal barrier exceed the needs onboard and keep things quiet and cool.

The M-53 has an overall length of 56′ 6″ and a generous 15′ 3″ beam. This shapely girl, with her long, sweeping sheer line, weighs in fully loaded at 51,000 pounds and has a draft of under 4′. The all-new twin-stepped, 22 degree deadrise hull charges hard to the grounds while keeping her occupants safe, comfortable, and dry. Powered with Quad Mercury Verado V12 600HP engines, this yacht has a top speed of 63 miles per hour at half load, with an effortless cruising speed of 50-plus miles per hour. Whatever speed you choose, the journey will be exhilarating and enjoyable.

The helm is configured with quad forward facing seating. The  second row offers rear-facing seating for four and provides an ideal vantage point while socializing around the bar or trolling. The midship mezzanine bar provides a central gathering location with all the amenities. The bar and rear-facing second-row seating cabinet feature a large, centrally placed grill; four refrigerator and freezer drawers; icemaker; (2) pullout cooler drawers; a large sink with faucet; tilt-out garbage can; and multiple pull-out drawers that offer an abundance of storage. The second control station, located on the rear starboard corner of the mezzanine cabinet, allows the captain to be “in on the action” when the bite’s on. The forward area features a large settee with seating for six, and the fully retractable table makes this a versatile area for dining, sunbathing, or fishing. The integrated forward-facing lounge seating on the bow adds to the social aspect of this yacht. A removable sunshade clips onto the leading edge of the hardtop and extends forward to fasten to a set of carbon fibre poles on the bow. This shade provides reprieve from the heat and expands the usability of the bow area. The private accommodation deck below features a clean, modern space with contemporary styling and a functional layout. With accommodations for the owners including a spacious head with separate shower. Th is space offers everything needed to be comfortable and relaxed onboard during trips to the islands.

The M-53 standard tankage includes 1,000 gallons of gas, 100 gallons of diesel and a 100 gallons of water. Th e long list of features include SeaKeeper 9 Gyro; Humphree Active Trim system; Lewmar bow thruster (integrated into Mercury Joystick); four Garmin 24″ displays; Hooker Electric livewell system; Spectra Watermaker; four large insulated fi sh boxes with integrated Frigibar Polar Cube refrigeration and Polar Cap ice machines; three transom live wells; Gemlux Bluewater outriggers; SureShade retractable rear awning; sunscreen fly over the bow; four cockpit refrigerator drawers; impressive JL Audio system; Helm air-conditioning; 15-kW generator; large lithium house battery bank; and Siren Marine security system.
